As a professional garden designer since 2013, Jane has designed more than 200 native gardens throughout the South Bay. With a background in fine arts, ecology, and sustainable design, she enjoys applying art concepts to real landscapes and watching spaces transform.

Design Process
Consultation
Every project begins with a complimentary on-site consultation. We will discuss your project’s goals, personal style, and budget while evaluating your site’s potential. Opportunities for native plant communities, outdoor living spaces, edible gardens, and other landscape features will be explored.
Plan
Yarrow Design will develop a thoughtful, site-specific landscape plan that balances beauty, functionality, and ecological value. Your scaled CAD plan-view drawing includes a detailed base map, hardscape concepts, a planting plan, and construction notes. You will also be provided with a comprehensive Plant Master presentation. Upon completion, the design will be presented for review and revised as needed to ensure the final plan reflects your goals and vision.
Proposal
Following the consultation, a detailed design summary and proposal will be provided for your consideration. Design fees are based on the size and complexity of the project and are billed at $90/hour. Most projects require between 5-30+ design hours. Once approved, the design phase begins.
Installation
Upon final acceptance, Yarrow Design will provide a reference to an outstanding independent installer. The installer will prepare a detailed, itemized installation bid. Yarrow Design will remain available throughout the installation process to help facilitate your dream garden.
